Its possible that the sluggish response and the dupesheet loss
are unrelated. With regard to the sluggish response, it
occurred to me after the fact that I probably should have setup
smartdrv. Guy's comments just confirm my suspicion. When
we were running a 486 with a slow hard drive it was necessary,
but with the faster Pentium's, I have been doing fine without
it in contests like the Sprint where the log is small. Come to
think of it, I not even sure that my DOS boot disk was installing
himem.sys. Perhaps I was short on free memory too. Dooh!

Thanks for the suggestions, Gents. I'll give them a try.
