Good afternoon:
Using TR6.79 in the CQ 160 CW contest, I had many instances of
being asked for a frequency when using "ALT-D" with the Orion
on S&P. Often escape and ALT-D again worked OK. I finally
turned off "Ask for frequencies". In that case, some
of the stations I checked with ALT-D didn't appear in the
band map.
This MAY have been related to doing an ALT-D quickly after
tuning. Sometimes, I'm tuning and doing the ALT-D checks
just about as fast as I can type!
Has anyone else seen this with the Orion rig control?
The other radio was a TS950, also interfaced to a serial
port. I was using a new Byterunner PCI dual serial card
with their DOS driver.
