[Trlog] PCMCIA serial card help]

I am trying to install a Socket pcmcia serial card in a Toshiba 100CS.

It seems to be ok in Win95 as the
device shows up in the device manager, with no apparent conflicts, but 
when I try to access the port in
dos mode,  I run into trouble.  Would appreciate hearing from anyone 
with experience with there beasts.
