As I understand it the K3 uses the Kenwood command set so you should be
able to use the same commands as I use for my TS-2000.
Here is an extract from my TS-2000 .ICF file that sends the messages in
the memories when we are contesting and means that on Monday mornings the
operators still have voices.

The Graphics characters are <03> at the beginning and <04> at the end of
the messages. Explained in the Custom Messages section of the manual.
