 I have used the Icom rig control in the linux version. I have used it on the 
706 and the 7300.for the 706 I just radio one type=IC706. but for the 7300 I 
had to set: radio one type = 735
radio one receiver address = 148radio one control port = serial /dev/ttyUSB0
radio one name = IC-7300

and that made it work with the 7300. So you might want to try something like 
that and see what happens.James KC6UCN
