Have any other OMNI VI users experienced this:

about 2 monthes ago, I noticed that the normal position for my PBT
control had
drifted slightly CCW. As the weeks have gone on, the change in setting has
become
more pronounced and it has moved approximatly 45 degrees CCW from what was the
normal operating position.
All other operation appears to be normal. I called the factory a few
days ago but the
technican I spoke to was not familiar with the OMNI VI. Before I call back
next week, I want
to see if anyone else has experienced this.

Also, is anyone else using a 250 hz CW filter in both the 9mhz and
6.3 mhz positions?
I moved all the filters from my OMNI V to the VI and I found that when I
operate with the
250 hz narrow filter in line, the received signal strength drops at least 2
S units. This did not
happen with these filters in the OMNI V. (I did move the gain select jumper
on the 9 mhz IF
board to pins 1 & 2 as the manual instructs). This has occured since I first
bought the OMNI VI.

        Thanks for any info,

        Rick AB1U
