The Hercules one is awfully sensitive to overdrive.  Many rigs
have internal control that does not prevent a quick surge of
RF at the output ... just enough to trip the Herc.  My Kenwood
440 used to do that, too, but other rigs had no trouble.

I think there were some suggested fixes for this problem that
were published, don't know about them in particular, but you
may want to look around.  The 444 is very sensitive and takes 
some real adjusting before it settles down, but it works fine
at that point.
