Gosh....You just shot my 50 years of basic electronics learning right in the 
butt!!! Now I iz going to have to go and throw my 20+ books on antennas theory 
and transmission line theory right into the trash can....Steve...Steve...did 
you REALLY mean to say this?


You mean to tell me that if I put up two equal length pieces of whar (red neck 
for 'wire') up in the air, separated by a nice little ceramic insulator, then 
connect a half wave length of transmission line to those whars, that I can 
actually sit in my shack and toon that physical device?? I know you dont mean 
that I can use my six element 440Mhz yagi on 80 mtrs just by placing a tooner 
between the xmission line and my rig, do you ?????
