It only works on certain types of noise, or mostly on spikes like from a arc
discharge of spark plugs, most likely.
One of the Ten Tec noise blanker boards, used for the Scout, is tested by TT
using a 12 Volt DC relay which has its power routed through its normally
closed contact, then when the relay pulls in it breaks its own circuit, thus
causing a pulse before resetting and doing it again.
This is how they test the NB board for Scout, by setting it to trigger on this
pulse loosely coupled to the Scout antenna input.
Try that test on your rig, and see if your board works for that, or take the
rig out by your idling car engine and see if the NB helps quell that. Almost
any little relay should work. There are several from radio shack. I think
they mean one with the conventional solenoid coil exposed on an open frame,
and NOT a can relay, or shielded case relay.
