Suddenly noticed poor behavior on the part of my OmniD (546) model B.
On at least half the transmissions, between 10 and 20 seconds into the
transmission, the SWR meter jumps to show an ratio of 10-1(from under
2-1), and a 60 cycle hum starts coming out of the power supply.
Receiving stations report a terrible drop off in signal.
The problem does not seem to be antenna related as it effects both my
vertical and my dipole. The dipole is fed with ladder line, and the
vertical has brand new coax, so feed line contamination seems doubtful.
Any ideas of where I should start looking?
