Hi Doug,
First of all, I own a Omni VI+, a Hercules II, and a Titan. I used to own a
paragon, Omni VI and a Centurion. So I have some idea
what I am talking about. The Omni VI+ is a great rig, I love it, but dollar
for dollar you get more enjoyment out of the Hercules
II. It will make your rig a 500 watt transceiver and the people you can hear
will answer you. If you get the Omni Vi+, you will
have one of the worlds best receivers and will hear lots of stations that can't
hear you. This is only my opinion, but certainly
what I would do.

Subject: [TenTec] what to do?
Hey guys I think this might be a question that may be a little bit different
but here it goes.
I have just sold some old radios that I didn't need anymore so I could by a
Herculesll amp. Well I was about to call Scott at TT and have him send me one
but I happened to have a nice talk with a guy on 18m the other day. He said
that he was using a Omni 6+ . I then told him I was going to by the Hercules
amp. He told me if I were him, I should sell my Omni 5 and get the Omni 6+
instead of using the money on the amp. He thought the 6+ was of better value
to me than the amp and I would really like it more than the 5.
Most of my hamming is just fun, little dx and some cw.
So what do you think?
Thanks
Doug KF6BKH
PS. I do not have the money to buy both!
