Not only did Sear try selling ham equipment - I can remember when Wards
carried Hallicrafters receivers. In fact, I bought one in the
damaged/reduced price department at the Wards "super store" in Albany in
the early 50s.
Times change - they are all gone now - the store, the company, and most
of all Hallifcrafters.
About those Scouts, I'd probably buy one I could see one first, but no
ham stores left around here.
