Bob,
Locate the Monitor as far from radio and antenna leads as you can.

Use the Radio Shack ferrite cable choke cores on the Video leads and on the AC
power to the monitor as close to the Monitor case as possible.

You might also find you need more than one choke per cable, depending on
whether you can wind multiple turns of the cable through the yoke of the
inductor core.

As a worst case solution, some have actually mounted their Monitor into a
steel box to shield it magnetically and electrostatically from the radio.
"Painting" conductive paint on the inside of the Monitor plastic case is done
to add a measure of shielding. Check that the case if so coated,(with a grey
appearing inside coating), has good electrical contact with the chassis metal
through all the screws being in the case as intended, and again, if you can
move the computer completely away from the radio the task of quieting the
computer and monitor hash noise will be eased. Another technique is to power
the Monitor and computer from a different electrical circuit in the room than
that of the radio.

Stuart K5KVH
