I am aware of the change in freq at times with the scout/argo rigs when
using cw. I seem to recall that it had somethiing to do with the "auto freq
correction" and the internal keyer fighting for processor time. Not sure if
that was true or not, but my question is, does the same freq change issue
still exist when using an external keyer.? (I guess I should ask is there
provison for an external keyer? )

I am was comtemplating getting one, but bought a Wilderness Radio Sierra
that works just super, but would like a little more power and ssb
capability. I'd miss the low current drain tho... :)

What is the max and minimum power of the 555 and 556? do they both go to
zero? Will the Argo 556 put out a solid 5 watts or more?

Is it possible to put an power control on the back of the rig?

Thanks for any help
