I don't think there is any upgrade for the OMNI B to C.  The
C had a different switch on the front panel for filtering and
decoupled the audio from IF filtering in the switches, I 
believe.   I think they also had WARC right there on the
bandswitch.  I don't think it was a real big difference.

As for the SWR meter question, I find it much more convenient
to use an SWR meter on a tuner, not on the rig.  The rig 
needs almost full power output to make the SWR meter really
tell me what is reflected, and I don't want to put that out
on the air while tuning.  I try to put a watt or two on
the air and tune the tuner, and the rigs own SWR meter 
barely moves, while the meter on my outboard tuner works
fine, allowing me to very quickly lower the reflected power
into the rig.  I would go for the SWR meter.
