Judging by my email, apparently there are other Omni owners who are
experiencing the same clicking (NOT key clicks) in the speaker/headphones
while on CW.

I called Ten Tec service this morning. One call and I'm speaking
with a technician. Wow. Anyway, they suggested two mods, both
connected to the low level board top left side. One is to move the
'yellow' wire away from the other wires in the harness. It has
been known to pickup TR switching signals and isolation has proved
successful. The second mod is to wire in a 4.7K resistor in parallel
with R9 (second resistor in from front left). This is the best explanation
I can relay to you after talking to the technician, so no guarantee's on
the translation - proceed at your own risk or double check with
Ten Tec.

I will try the mods when I get home tonight and let you know if
they fix the problem.

PS. I am again a Ten Tec owner! After owning a 509 and 544, I always
had a desire to have another one. Saturday I got a call from another
ham in town who was selling all his stuff - he knew I wanted that
Omni VI from previous conversations. Glad he had a good memory! So I
brought it home and all weekend I played and played with the Ten Tec...
my poor '775 sure was lonely!
