Hi all
Got a question that I'm hoping somebody can help me with.
I've got an Omni V. Great radio, use it as an IF for VHF work and for 10
meters. I have the 2.4, 1.8, 500 and 250 filters plus a 1.8 in the "narrow"
slot.
Here's the problem. On USB, if I use either the 1.8 or the 2.4 and narrow
combo I have to play with the passband tuning in order to make speech
intellegible. If I use both 1.8 filters there is no way I can understand
speech. Now I know I can't expect hi-fi, but it would be nice if I could
use that combination.
The odd thing is that on LSB (like 75 meters) the 1.8 or 2.4 plus narrow
sound about fine with no passband tweaking and I can use both 1.8 filters
with a bit of passband jiggling.
My questions are - is this normal and if not what do I adjust to fix it.
Or - should I just get some Inrads?
