A question for the list, but first a brief introduction.

My name is Keith Darwin and I've recently joined the list. My rig is a
Corsair II which I rescently picked up. Prior to this rig I had an Omni D.
 I've also had a 509, a 515 (wish I still had that one!!!), a Century 21
and Century 22. I've been a ham since 1983 but have been inactive for over
7 years. Most of the time I ran CW and often QRP. My favorite antennas
are verticals.

Now my question. I'm surprised that the 500 Hz filter for the Corsair II
(285) is only 6 poles instead of 8. Anyone know why TenTec didn't build an
8 pole filter?? Does the reduced number of poles significantly affect
performance?

73 all,

Keith Darwin
