But did you try the passband tuning ?? I find that if I use a narrow
filter up front, then its necessary to shift the second filter
passband into correct alignment with the first. Having a 250 up front
(I prefer the 500) makes this lot more critical. You can also play
with the FADE control until the signals sound weird ... I have a 500
up front and a choice of 250 or 500 in the second IF. If I use
the 250, its a more critical as to where I set the passband
tuning. Two 250s in series will be that much more fussy about the
settings. And more lossy ......
