Hi, Gang,

I have an Omni V that has a peculiar set of problems that someone may =
have run into before, and that same someone may be able to coach me =
through enough of this to get me going while I wait for a service =
manual. Here are the symptoms:

When the unit is first turned on, the frequency display will have digits =
out of place , for instance 614.,235.0 for 14.235.06. Turning the =
transceiver off and back on will correct this problem. =20

The transceiver will also shift frequencies from what is displayed (this =
has nothing to do with split!), for instance, the display showed =
21.394.00 and I was transmitting and receiving on 21.260.00. To correct =
it I tried shutting the power off and turning the rig back on. When it =
came back on it was in the same situation. I then switched to VFO B and =
found that it was OK. When I switched back to VFO A, it was about 390 =
Hz.off (very much better) but now when I switched back to B, it was also =
off by 390 Hz. The VFOs seem to be OK on all bands below 20 meters.

I can't get 10 meters to transmit or receive at all, and it may be due =
to something in the VFO PLL circuit as well.

Does anyone have an electronic version of the proper steps to align the =
VFO circuiits? I just contacted TT today by e-mail, so it will be the =
first of the week before they contact me, and the order will take time =
to process and typically 1-1/2 to 2 weeks for things to get here.

I would very much like to have the Omni V back in gear by the July 1 RAC =
contest. Can anyone help?
