Yes you're right James the circuit is completed through the connection to
the Omni V/VI/VI+ so there may not be the damage previously believed to have
occurred.
Replace fuse with proper valued fuse and retry, without the mic connected to
the Omni (G).

Maybe, maybe not......with the power supply disconnected from the Omni
VI, how did you turn the power supply on?  Isn't there a a pair of
wires that must be connected together via the power on/off switch
located on the Omni?  Just wondering, and I haven't taken time to look
at my set up this morning.
