The jumper you mention from TT is merely a center pin jumper. You should be
able to make up a short RCA plug jumper that just jumpers the center pin, or
even a patch cord should work if you have one handy. I used shielded patch
cords from Rad Shack to wire my Centurion in and it works just fine.

Subject: [TenTec] Non Amplified VI+
I am wondering,
In the manual for the 6+ it talks about the TX OUT and the TX EN being
jumper'd. I think the previous owner ran an amp on this uint and removed
the jumper.. I asked TenTec for a new one and it is on the way. Is this a
jumper between the center pole of the RCA connector, or, does the outer
sleeve connection also need to be made? I will use a simple 'bar' connector
until the part from TT shows up, or, should I use something like a very
short shielded audio connector with both center and sleeve connected?
Thanks!
OH, and, by the way,
I purchased the radio from Dr. Vince Cammarata. He said this radio was in
mint condition, and he was 100% correct! It actually showed up a day
early, and I am now waiting on the 961 P/S and the mic (due today!)... I
think UPS likes to tease me...
After all the horror stories I have heard about buying over the web, it
is nice to have one actually go without a kink...
