1. The phase noise is better than most rigs. Check the QST review.

2. I know the Corsair II works well with really strong signals just
outside the pass band. The Omni VI uses the same filters but different
amplifier stages.

3. Tentec filters ring a lot less on tropical noise than most other
filters. I've not used the narrow CW filter but have no problems with
the 500 Hz CW filter then can use (in the Corsair II) the BPT to narrow
the response further. I do notice that the narrow filter and narrowing
with the BPT does help weak signals, contrary to some other radios I
have.

4. that surely would take some modification, like sticking a narrow CW
filter in the filter slot normally occupied by the stock SSB filter. And
then probably adjusting the transmit BFO crystal to get through the
filter.
