Yes, Don, Its ok to change modules with power applied. I do it all
the time, but I can't remember where I read this. It migh be in the
manual somewhere. With no module in place, the Scout will not
receive or transmit, but the keyer and sidetone still work, so you
can use it as a code practice oscillator.
