One thing I forgot.

Solid state bi-polar linear design varies little from the work done by
the late Helge Granberg at Motorola.

I'm laying out the circuit design for a HF all-band 1500w unit using 8
pairs of 2879's and still use Helge's books for reference.

Even ferrite material hasn't changed much in the past 20 years, type 43
material is still the best for 1.8-30Mhz.
