Well its been a couple of months since I got the
Argonaut 515 and I have been using it a lot and would
like to pass on some experiences. You can do a lot of
QSOs with 5 watts. Its been the most fun I have had in
the last two years. My code speed is improving and the
QRP people I have met are an interesting group. The
515 is a great rig. The New Jersey QRP and Norcal QRP
club web sites are a wealth of information. Building
antennas is a lot of fun. PSK-31 is just as effective
with QRP power as any 100 watt rig. I have worked 26
countries with 5 watts with PSK-31 and gotten
excellent signal reports. If you are looking for a new
challenge in the hobby, QRP is fun and cheap.
