Bob,
Although I am not specifically familiar with the configuration of the
Pro-Am, I vote for leaving the ground wire on after you add radials-not
for any RF reasons but rather for lightning protection. A vertical on
the roof also looks a lot like a lightning rod!

You have not mentioned what other antenna(s) you have available. It may
be possible to get it (them) to load on 30.
