Yes, I believe they all now make good solid CW rigs. I haven't had
the opportunity to try them all so I can only say that many of
them sound just as good. I Can't speak about other receivers but
if any of them beat the Omni I'd be quite surprised. However, the
thing that makes Ten-Tec stand out head and shoulders above all
others is the people at Ten-Tec. When you call for support you
don't speak a kid reading symptoms and cures from a recipe book
that was translated from another language. You speak to a service
tech who works on rigs like yours daily and knows it inside out
and backwards. When you need to send it in for service, you don't
wait six weeks to find out that it's going to take another six
weeks to fix it. You have it back on your desk in two to three
weeks including the time required to ship it both ways. That kind
of care and attention is not matched by anyone else!!
