FYI About,
"Bob, the PatComm PC-500 is under $500 and is optimized for CW.
It even has a keyboard connection for CW. It does also does SSB so
the crystal filter is wide. It has a narrow filter for CW but that is
an
audio filter. I do not know how much it would cost for a narrow crystal
filter.

Look at the QST review of the PC-16000A in the Dec. 2K issue. It
truncates CW dots by 50% in the 'scope trace photo. Expect the 500 does
the same or worse. Not too CW optimized.
