I recently acquired an Omni VI (not a plus) that is fully loaded and seems
to be working very well. In addition to having a full complement of
filters, it also has the 257 voice synthesizer. This would be an ideal
radio for a visually handicapped ham. If any of you folks out there know of
someone with an interest in this radio, please let me know. I'll be happy
to pass on the details. Briefly, it is cosmetically about an 8.5 to 9, with
wear marks on the top cover and a small scratch on the bottom. Front panel
is a solid 9. Probably in the $1,500 range.
I'm inclined toward an Omni VI Plus or, perhaps, a Jupiter. Let me know if
you're interested.
