Hello Gang: My One cent is: Whenever I have had a problem with the supply
it has been due to a flaky ground;viz, lug nut not tight or nuts not tight
on BOTH sides of the chassis. This occurred to me when I first turned on my
Omni 6+ and 962. IT shut down on me for no reason I could think of at the
time. Then I started looking at my ground connections; particularly the
main on at the Heathkit 2060 tuner. All those wires at one point were not
tight enough. I have had no trouble since 1999!
My second cent: Has anyone got a suggestion for a cassette recorder or
other device to hook up to the Omni 6+ to make tapes of W1AW, great QSOs,
or documentation for the FCC? If you have done this,let me know how and
with what.
