QST always lists what about the Omni 6+? To put things in perspective, does
the K2 have:
Passband tuning?
DSP filtering?
DSP Noise Reduction?
A notch filter?
True QSK between keyed elements?
I'm sure the K2 has an extremely good receiver. However, for a transceiver
that was designed primarily for portable operations using modest antennas
(i.e., low gain), just how bullet-proof does the front-end need to be? I
would rather give up something on the front-end overload specification in
order to lower the receive current drain caused by the high-power balanced
mixer. A single-digit IP3 rating similar to the K1 would have been more
than adequate for portable, trail, and camping use.
