I suspect all it would take for the likes of Argosy, Triton, Delta, 
Omni [original models], Corsair, and the other non-digital rigs, is the 
replacement of the heterodyne crystal used for the 40 meter band.   
It  is a very small frequency change and the tuned circuits 
associated with the crystal oscillator should handle the new crystal 
nicely.   Since the frequency range would be moving down, the output 
low pass filter would do fine.  I guess the only question is the 
bandpass filter in some of the radios.   Again, since the frequency 
change is slight, it may work as is or perhaps a slight "tweak" will 
bring it in line.
