Greetings all,

Are there any documented "birdies" in the T-Kit 1220 2M rig, and if so,
where are they? I have noticed a few on mine, but only one is of much
concern: 145.350, which is the output frequency of an area repeater. I
have concluded that it is internally generated rather than being from the
local cable TV sieve (er, system) because it is still there with the rig
connected to a well-shielded dummy load. (CATV leakage is another issue
at this QTH -- and I don't even have a cable drop from their system on my
property.) 145.350 isn't an obvious crystal harmonic or sum/difference
product of anything I could come up with in the rig, but I may be missing
something. Is this a design issue with the 1220 or is it a
construction/alignment issue with this unit? (I purchased the rig used
so I don't know its history other than that it appears to have been built
by an experienced kit builder -- very good soldering, etc.) Any
suggestions?

73, Al
