My guess as to why the RX-350 is being sold through places other then TT is
for a very basic business consideration. Hams are so notoriously cheap that
TT can make the most of this limited money supply by selling direct.
However, anyone can be an SWL which means there are more $$$ available for
these products. Now, TT could market this new rig but it is a lot easier to
go to the normal SWL distribution channels. Also, TT can charge more for the
rig because the completive rigs are more expensive. So, that's the bottom
line, the bottom line.
