Greetings all.

This is a computer interfacing problem so if you can help , read on!

I have an OmniVI / option 3 (TT 563) that has been working with
the old faithful shack computer using LOG-EQF and TRLog. I have need
to take it off line and do some work on it. I scrounged another
computer and loaded LOG-EQF on it exactly as it was on the original.
Plugged it in, no go. I am using the 9-pin serial port on the
original computer and tried both ' COM A' and 'COM B' ports on the
'new' computer. Then I tried it also on a laptop I have (runs DOS
6.2.2). Still nix. Can someone give me some suggestions as to where
to look to unravel this problem? OmniVI menu settings to verify what I
have used, LOG-EQF Rig settings, etc. I have verified that the address
and IRQ match (3F8H and IRQ 4).

My long-term goal is to get a shack computer with three or four
serial ports and two parallel ports. Two serial to control rigs
(OmniVI and K2), one to a packet rig, and two parallel ports to
key the respective rigs.
