You do want to put the sense antenna outside near the antenna or away from any in shack influence, unless things are well controlled against stray RF. You can remote the detector, and have a simple transistor DC amplifier to run the leads to the meter in the shack. Alternate, a weather proof large meter outside the shack window, out in the antenna field, with the circuit all contained on the back of it inside a wx proof box, with a window. Stuart K5KVH |
