For me, "you'll know it when you hear it..." but not all OMNI VI's exhibit
this noise.  I found it most obnoxious on 10 meters FM, tune fast and hear
what sounds like a zipper.  I found it on 20 meters SSB at one point, sent
it to Ten Tec, they bypassed and shielded some stuff from the control
board to the front panel, now it is very low level.  I plan to do some
more myself, to reduce birdies on 10 meters.
