My Pegasus has the same circuitry but the pot wasn't labeled in the
schematics I have. Tentec told me what the pot was for when I was asking for
info after replacing my finals, which were destroyed by lightning.
I believe the current sensing resistor in the Omnis and Paragon sensed the
current for the whole rig, so putting it in the power line to the final only
was probably a refinement
