As I recall, there were some changes in the methods to maintain frequency stability with the Omni VI. I believe there was originally an oven. A later mod left the oven on, even when the rig was off and a later mod involved a TCXO. I purchased a used Omni VI that had been factory upgraded to option 3. How can I tell which version I have? I'm not sure I would know what a crystal oven looked like unless it said 'Easy Bake' on it <g>. 73, Mark |
