[TenTec] Corsair I Noise Blanking

I have recently obtained a Corsair I and have got back on the air - CW.
What a great piece of equipment.  I have a question about the noise
blanking control.  How is it suppose to work?  It appears to do
nothing.  I am familiar with noise blanking circuitry, but this control
has no effect on noise peaks at all.  What 'test' should I perform to
see if it is working - or not?  Any help is greatly appreciated.
