Vince,

Thanks for your email. I had never thought of anything like that. I didn't
know that the knob was adjustable.

I just played with my 302. It looks like it was adjusted for minimum
resistance.  If I hold the ring and turn the knob counter clockwise, nothing
seems to happen, but if I turn the knob clockwise, I can feel little clicks
and the knob tightens up.  However, I think I prefer the loosest setting
(maybe that's just what I was used to).
