While that may be true, I think there deserves to be some sort of feedback
to the sender. I, for one, would like to know if my signal was distorted or
'wide'. I know that hardly anyone ever gives anything other than a 9 for
tone on a CW report, but used to be useful when most folks homebrewed their
transmitters and something was out of whack.
