I had a qsk5 Ameritron qsk unit . It would not work with any rig I had ie
Kwd, Ten Tec, etc. It sat at the factory for a year in engineering and they
couldn't make it fly either. Worse than that, they had no contact with Ten
Tec-ie thats a sad story. I was almost going to send them a TT radio to play
with. Who would make such a device that don't kiss with a Ten Tec radio?? To
make a long story short, I settled with Ameritron and took an 811H amp
instead. Fortunately, I found an old DEO QSK1500 unit. It gets no better.
Roy-K6XK advised me inre that box and sure enough- its plug and play with any
rig and amp-instructions are great etc. It also takes the enable lines right
to it from the TT rigs ie Omnis 5 and 6 and Paragons. They show you a simple
mod for older TTs as well.
OK anyways, I wanna check and slightly adjust the 5 mhz osc on my Omni 6
plus. I don't see instructions for that. Has anyone done it before?
