Since the Argo is being discussed I will share my non-lab experinces. I traded
my Corsair II in on one. I sent the Argo back in less than a week and thanked
God the Corsair II had not been sold (right now the alignment is being checked
and it will return home permanently!). I found that neither performance or
ergonomics were at all impressived. And I could not for the life of me equate
the cost of it compared to what you get with a used Corsair II. The Corsair
does not have memories etc - but is sure as heck an incredible cw rig - and the
AGC popping questions were not issues for me. I think what the Argo did was
make me realize what a bargain a used Corsair II is. I love Ten Tec products,
but for my taste, the little Argo is sort of a lost orphan. This is all my
subjective reaction - does not mean the rig isn't great for another op's
preferences :-)
