Another tidbit on TenTec Pegasus and PSK31: we (PARC and OCRA clubs) have
a Pegasus successfully running PSK31 (and other digital modes) including
for a short time just prior to FD (see earlier post for voltage issues
from batteries, anticipated problem, unanticipated failure of fix). It
runs quite nicely off a RASCAL interface from Buxcom (www.buxcom.com) to
various laptops and desktop PCs tried. Really like using MixW to get so
many digital modes in one package ! Works fine using VOX to trigger,
though when 2nd RS-232 port is available, can use that to key the Peg as
well.
RASCAL interfaces are quite basic, but effective ! Easily tuned for rig,
either if built up as kit or purchased pre-built. Nice to have xformer
isolation on both sides of audio !
