Ten Tec did sell as components, some Toroid inductors they used in some tuners and in a present kit, the Ground Counterpoise Tuner. It is a toroid wound with 16 ga. wire, and a slider contacts turns to provide a tap point, for continuous adjustment. In the counterpoise tuner kit, you have to wind the toroid with the wire, but there is a ribbed structure to provide grooves for wire turns to align to.
