For those of you that followed this topic, here's the current situation.
Ten-Tec has been able to duplicate the sometimes audio distortion
in the MON output in the lab. Their testing apparently indicates that
this is NOT being transmitted.
I've done a lot more testing over the last three days, and while I
believed from early testing that I could hear the distortion in the
transmitted signal, I haven't been able to definitely reproduce that
result.
So at this point, it's certain there's a buggy in the MON routines
somewhere, but it does not appear there is distortion in the transmit
signal path.
