Seems so strange to allow it for SSB but not CW, since one would think it would be a very simple change, but I guess this is part of Ten-Tec's QSK heritage <ng>. I don't like using QSK with an amp for many reasons (clicks, reliability, etc) but have resigned myself to Semi-Breakin. I set TX>EXT T/R Delay to 90% which seems to work OK. Maybe someone will figure out a mod to allow true PTT, but another alternative is to use a footswitch (and CT) to PTT the amplifier only and bypass Orion. 73, Bill W4ZV P.S. For anyone interested, Scott W4PA has contacted K1EA to offer an Orion and documentation for CT support. Let's hope Ken will do it! _______________________________________________ TenTec mailing list TenTec@contesting.com http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/tentec |
