There is a report from Japan that the IC-7800 list price was announced 
Monday as $9,000 (US).   Shipment to JA is at the end of Dec.  To North 
America at end of Jan.  Eu at end of Feb.
The first production run is reportedly sold out.  I do not know how many 
units it consisted of.
